L3 Paediatric First Aid Course

Day 4
This 12 hr accredited Paediatric First Aid Course is suitable for childminders, nursery workers or anyone who works with children and/or babies.
The course is being delivered over 4 nights and full attendance is required.
Tuesdays 18th and 25th February
Tuesdays 3rd and 10th March
The course covers:
Assessing the situation
CPR on child and baby
AED (defibrillator)
Recovery position
Choking
Shock
External bleeding
Bites, stings, minor cuts and grazes, bumps & bruises
Head injuries
Foreign bodies in eye, ear, nose
Diabetes
Asthma
Anaphylaxis
Febrile convulsions
Meningitis
Hypothermia
Hyperthermia
Electric shock
Burns & Scalds
Poisoning
The course is practically assessed over the 4 nights and there are also 2 multiple choice question papers to be completed.
On successfully completion of the course learners will receive a certificate issued by the awarding body.
